Forged Duplex A182 F60 Gate Valve

The opening and closing component of forged steel gate valves is the gate plate, and the direction of movement of the gate plate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. Forged steel gate valves can only be fully open and fully closed, and cannot be adjusted or throttled. The gate plate of forged steel gate valve has two sealing surfaces, and the most commonly used mode of gate valve is that the two sealing surfaces form a wedge shape, and the wedge angle varies with the valve parameters.

Forged steel gate valve refers to a valve whose gate moves vertically along the centerline of the passage. Forged steel gate valves are mainly used for cutting off in pipelines. Forged steel gate valve is a widely used valve, and it is generally used for cutting devices with a diameter of DN ≤ 50. Forged steel gate valves are quite common.

Duplex stainless steel is a stainless steel in which half of the ferrite phase and half of the austenite phase are present in its solid quenching structure, with a minimum phase content of 30%. Duplex stainless steel is formed by increasing the Cr content or adding other ferrite elements on the basis of 18-8 austenitic stainless steel. It not only has a bi-directional structure of austenite and ferrite, but also saves Ni alloy. Due to the characteristics of the two-phase structure of duplex stainless steel, by correctly controlling the chemical composition and heat treatment process, duplex stainless steel can combine the advantages of ferritic stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel. The presence of austenite in duplex stainless steel reduces the brittleness of Cr ferrite and the tendency for crystal growth, while maintaining excellent toughness and welding performance; The presence of ferrite enhances the yield strength, resistance to intergranular corrosion, and resistance to chloride stress corrosion of austenite.

    Additional Features

Compared with austenitic stainless steel, the advantages of duplex stainless steel are as follows:

Firstly, the yield strength is more than twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel, and it has sufficient plasticity and toughness required for forming. The wall thickness of storage or pressure vessels made of duplex stainless steel is reduced by 30-50% compared to ordinary austenite, which is beneficial for reducing costs.

Secondly, it has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, even duplex stainless steel with the lowest alloy content has higher resistance to stress corrosion cracking than austenitic stainless steel, especially in environments containing chloride ions. Stress corrosion is a prominent problem that ordinary austenitic stainless steel is difficult to solve.

Thirdly, the corrosion resistance of 2205 duplex stainless steel, which is most commonly used in many media, is superior to that of ordinary 316L austenitic stainless steel. Super duplex stainless steel has extremely high corrosion resistance and can even replace high alloy austenitic stainless steel or even corrosion-resistant alloys in some media.

Fourthly, it has good resistance to local corrosion. Compared with austenitic stainless steel with similar gold content, duplex stainless steel has better wear resistance and fatigue corrosion resistance than austenitic stainless steel.

Fifth, the coefficient of linear expansion is lower than that of austenitic stainless steel, similar to carbon steel, suitable for connecting with carbon steel, and has important engineering significance, such as producing composite plates or linings.

Sixth, regardless of whether under dynamic or static load conditions, duplex stainless steel has higher energy absorption capacity than austenitic stainless steel, which has practical application value for structural components to cope with unexpected accidents such as collisions and explosions.
